From time to time, many Musky anglers have toyed with making their own
creeper. They have turned down the wood for the body and assembled all of
the hardware for the through wire and hooks but are lacking one key
element...Creeper Wings.
Creeper wings are not generally available because they require multiple
high quality stamping tools to cut and form the wing hardware from stainless
steel.
Moore's Lures has just added creeper wings to their 2008 inventory. The
wings have a little more 'beef' than other wings; helping them resist
bending and deforming and they use a cotter pin mechanism rather than a
soldered screw and nut assembly to secure the wing to the mounting bracket.
The adjustment tab is also a bit larger, making it easier to adjust the wing
angle to the creeper body. (See
the Creeper 101 Article)
