Custom Made Lures

The holidays are over and it is time to start thinking about the coming Musky season. Driven to boredom, many of you have already gone through your tackle box and reconditioned the lures that needed it. You have cleaned and oiled your reels and removed any scum from your rods...so now what?

The Musky shows are always a good distraction from the fishless winter and it is always fun to get out of the house and see what the buzz is among other Musky anglers.

Inevitably, you may be considering adding some new lures to your arsenal. I recently received an Email from Bill Kaiser, one of the fishing fanatics that keeps a trailer at Indian Trail Resort. Bill has been making custom lures for many years and has an offering of lures that are worth your time to consider.

These are all made from Red Cedar, stainless steel solid shafted and the center hooks are attached up to the stainless shaft so they won't pull out during a Musky encounter. I have one of Bill's custom creepers and I am really pleased with the performance and quality. I added Owner Stinger 3/0 treble hooks but that is the only change that I made aside form some tuning...See Creeper 101.
